While preparing for his fourth competition, Gerald couldn’t find Men’s Physique shorts in the colour, design and fit he wanted. Together with his brother Jhester, he decided to create their own.

The first VAZO shorts were inspired by the Philippine flag; representing the brothers’ heritage and the country where the shorts are manufactured. Gerald became the first athlete to wear VAZO on stage.

With backgrounds in Art & Design, Product Design and competitive bodybuilding, Gerald and Jhester continually refined the product. Fit, length, materials and construction have been altered more than 20 times since the original pair.

Gerald is an IFBB Pro, PCA Pro and PCA judge, while both brothers are competitors. That experience gives VAZO first-hand knowledge of stage presentation and the requirements of different federations.
